Birthday Party

Today was my first birthday party.  We had it at my house.  It went well, but I got a fever from my 12 month vaccinations so I didn't feel well.  For the most part, nobody could tell.

I smashed my cake, but that's all I did to it.  I didn't want to eat it.

Help

Mommy's two BFFs (Michele and Marissa) came over on Friday night to help get things ready for my birthday bash this weekend.  Marissa brought my BFF, Maddy.  We like to play together a little and enjoy grabbing each other's faces.  Mom says we'll play better when we're both older.

Happy Birthday to me!!!

Today is my first birthday!  Mom is a blubbering mess because she keeps thinking about when I was born a year ago and it makes her teary.  She says she cries not because it hurt but because she loves me so much.

I got to spend my birthday at the fire station with Daddy.  His friend Josh gave me a really cool Mickey Mouse Airplane toy that I just love!  I even got to play on the fire truck and mom gave me a little bit of cake.  What a cool birthday!

Recent Happenings

On Saturday Daddy went to the Chargers game with Uncle Brian today.  Mommy and I had a nice day spending time together.  That is until she gave me a bath and I pooped in the tub!!!  She says she doesn't want to experience that again.

On Sunday I went to Grandma's house after we went to Costco so that Mommy and Daddy could work on Daddy's final exam for a class he's taking.  My Daddy is smart!

The funnest part of my week so far was going to eat at Bull's BBQ.  It's a small bbq place with super good food and really nice people.  In fact, the owner Tony is expecting a granddaughter named Sofia in a few months.  He was so excited that my name is Sofia spelled with an F that he gave me a balloon and even took my pictures out in front of the catering truck named Sofia!  How cool is that?

Evenings with Grandma

I've had lots of fun the past two evenings.  Grandma has been coming over to play with me so Mommy can work on my birthday decorations.  She feeds me dinner, gives me a bath, and plays with my toys with me.  My Grandma is the greatest!

I've also had fun with my babysitter Laura today.  She took me to the mall and we watched the ice skaters and I LOVED watching them twirl.  I also stole cucumbers from her sandwich and ate them.  What can I say?  I like my veggies.

Today is Wednesday.  That meant I got to go to my babysitter Laura's house.  I always have so much fun with her!  We went to McDonald's and I played on the slide.  I even climbed up a few steps all by myself.  After work, Mommy picked me up and we came home and played.

Typical Sunday

I went to church this morning with Mom and Dad.  Then we went to Country Waffles with Nino Brian and my cousins.  Boy was it tasty!  I ate my jar food and bananas, some strawberries, some waffle and a little bit of egg.  After all that food, I was in a food coma and ready for a nap so Mommy and I laid down together.  After our nap, Mommy and I went to Michaels to get more things for making my birthday goodies. She even let me drive!!  Ok, not really, but I had fun pretending.

This is the shy face I've been making lately.  Mom can't figure out why, but I've been trying really hard not to smile.

Selling the Pool Table & Kissy Kissy

Since I'm getting bigger, my toys seem to be getting bigger too.  Well, at least there are more of them.  So Mom and Dad said it's time to get rid of the pool table so that we can put some of my things in that room.  I'm super excited to have my very own play area!  Except....nobody is buying the pool table.  Darn!  So here it is....pool table for sale (baby not included).

Grandma taught me something new.  I now know how to make the kissy sound.  Lately I've been practicing giving kisses when mama says "da me besito".  I know what a besito is.  Here's my kissy kissy sound.

Ladybug Butt

Today Mommy had to work so Daddy took me to the park.  He put on one of my favorite outfits with a ladybug on the butt.  Mom says her friend Mariana gave it to me for Mom's baby shower.  Wasn't that nice of her?

Pajamas from Boyfriend

So, I have a boyfriend.  His name is Benjamin.  Isn't he cute?  Anyway, he sent me some cool pajamas.  They're still a little big so I get to sag the pants like daddy does.
