We had a very busy day today. Mommy ran a 5K. Then we went to church. After that we had breakfast with Nino Brian and my cousins. But the highlight of my day was meeting a new friend. Her name is Jilly. Mommy and I met up with Jilly and her mommy, Krista, at the mall and had lunch. We had lots of fun.
Here I am trying to borrow Jilly's outfit.
Then we went shopping around the mall.
I liked Krista. She says I'm a ham.
I tried to eat my friend, but mom said no.
We played nicely together.
And then Jilly tried my paci even though Krista says she usually doesn't like them. I guess mine just taste good.
I can't wait to see my new friend again :)

Simple Saturday
Daddy came home from work this morning. I'm always so happy to see him. He laughed at me splashing in the duck tub and then I got to stay home with him and take a nap while mommy picked up her bib for her 5k tomorrow. That's funny...Mommy has to wear a bib too! Then I got to run around town with Mommy and Daddy. Just a simple Saturday. No major events today.

8 Months Old!
I just turned 8 Months old. Mommy says the time went so fast! I'm not quite crawling, but I do like to lay on the floor and scoot backward. Pretty soon I'll be making her chase me. No teefers yet either, but I know they're coming soon. I was pretty interested in my 8 month sign so I destroyed it before Mommy could take really good pictures. Maybe she'll make 2 signs next time :)

Big Girl Bathtub!
My Mommy's Nino ( I call him Grampoo) is fixing our bathroom. We had a really old bathtub that didn't work since before I was born. The bathroom isn't finished, but the tub was the first thing to get fixed so I was excited to take a bath. I got to take a bath in a big girl bathtub for the very first time today. I loved it!! The blowup duck was from my Tia Marci and I love that his nose quacks. I really like to splish splash.
Sorry this video is pixelated. Mommy took it on her phone.

Things I've been up to
Well, we've been pretty busy. I've found a few favorite things to do so here's some pictures to show you. First, I love playing games on kneebouncers.com. I tried it on Daddy's laptop and pulled off one of his keys. He won't let me use his laptop anymore so Mommy let's me use hers. As you can see, this game knocks my socks of...well, at least one sock.
And then there's eating. I love to eat biter biscuits. Still not loving green beans, but I'm a big fan of sweet potatoes. Mom and Dad took me to a restaurant called the Chamorro Grill because I'm half Chamorro (that means I'm Guamanian, in case you didn't know). They're very happy that I love red rice. Now I have to try Mexican food.I've been really happy that the Easter Bunny brought me a DVD called Baby Signing Time. Mommy wants me to watch it so I can learn a few sign language words so that I can tell her if I need something before I'm able to talk. Daddy swears that I did the sign for "diaper" when I needed a diaper change, but Mommy wasn't there, so that can neither be confirmed or denied. I'm also super close to doing the sign for Milk. Here I am completely engrossed in my video.

Baptism
Today I was given the Sacrament of Baptism. Mommy and Daddy say this was a very special day because it's my very first Sacrament as a Catholic. There was another baby being baptized too and he cried a lot. I kept staring at him because I didn't know what his problem was. We were baptized over the very same giant seashell that my daddy was baptized over in the same church. It was a very special day. I was given a new Nina (Godmother) who is my Auntie Meagan and a new Nino (Godfather) who is my Uncle Brian. They both think I'm pretty cool and promised to teach me a lot about Jesus. Mommy and Daddy are both feeling very sentimental about today because it marks the beginning of my journey with God. They say I was a gift from God. Well, I may not always be an angel, but Mom says I looked like one in this dress.
Lord, surround this child with goodness, lead her in your light each day.
Help her walk the path You've chosen, guide her steps along the way.
Teach her, Lord, to trust Your wisdom, with a faith forever new.
Keep her from all harm and bless her, with Your grace and gladness too.

Happy Easter Everybody!
The Easter Bunny came to my house. He must want me to be really smart because he brought me lots of books. Mommy was excited because he gave me the exact same nursery rhyme book she had when she was a kid. We went to church and then to breakfast with my Uncle Brian and cousins. After that, Mommy, Daddy, and I all went to the Wild Animal Park. There was an earthquake while we were there but it didn't bother me any. I'm not afraid! We saw lots of animals. Daddy ate a cricket and it tasted like a sunflower seed. Finally, I got to go see my Grandma and guess what...the Easter Bunny brought me a basket at her house too! I like this Easter Bunny guy!

Sofia in Wonderland
Saturday I got to go to Hollywood for the very first time. Mommy and I found Johnny Depp's star on the ground and we spotted Batman walking down the street. Mommy & Daddy took me to the El Capitan theater to see Alice and Wonderland and to go to a Mad Hatter tea party. We had lots of fun. At the tea party we got to have tea and even decorate cupcakes. Then, the theater was really fancy inside with a man playing an organ. He disappeared down into the stage when he was finished playing. We watched the movie and I was kind of fussy so they had to take me out of the theater two times until I fell asleep. I was tired from such an eventful day. They show nothing but Disney movies at that theater so we want to go back for Toy Story 3. You should come with us :)

Dinner with Mishy
Last night Auntie Mishy came over for Biggest Loser night with mom. They do that every week. Mom says she makes the best dinners so she likes when it's Mishy's turn to cook. Plus, I get to play with Mishy and she's lots of fun. She let me play with her phone and look at pictures of my friend Maddy. She's moving back to San Diego from New Jersey this month and I'm super excited to finally meet her.

All Better!
Well, Mama says I'm back to being myself. I've started up some solids again. She tried to give me those gross peas too! I'm back to throwing all my toys off my high chair and waiting for her to pick them up. I'm even a little demanding when I want my bottle. Doesn't she know how thirsty I am?!! Gosh mom...hurry up!! Mom says I'm not allowed to fuss like that so I'd better stop soon. Here's some pics from the past few days.
